This site in Holmdel, NJ presented an unwelcomed challenge for our clients. A conservation easement on the site significantly restricted the useable space in the rear yard. Retaining walls were incorporated to establish the level grades required for active recreation spaces for basketball play and open lawn space. After the retaining wall construction was completed, the basketball court was installed. The court area is comprised of a reinforced concrete slab with an athletic safety surface. Complementary hues of blue were used to create a unique landscape feature.
