The Tinton Falls site with its gently sloping terrain and walk out basement was in desperate need of a functional deck space off the rear elevation sliding glass door. The new deck is constructed with southern yellow pine structural components and composite decking and railing treatments. A central feature of the new tumbled concrete paver patio below the deck is the introduction of support piers with synthetic stone veneering, combining a structural and aesthetic component. A walkway continuing the tumbled pavers and introducing bluestone stair treads provides an alternate means to access the rear yard and lower patio. A Crape myrtle provides a contrasting vertical element to the circular walkway and low flowering and groundcover plantings.
